Robert offers over 30 years of experience in the energy industry, principally commercial affairs in the natural gas sector. He has extensive experience with all aspects of energy marketing and infrastructure management including processing, transportation, and storage.
Most recently, Robert was a senior advisor to Halliburton for oil and gas marketing and midstream matters where he performed due diligence on marketing and midstream contracts for acquisition purposes. Prior to Halliburton, Robert spent 14 years with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation including 10 years as Vice President of Anadarko Energy Services Company. While at Anadarko, he also was Director of Business Development for Anadarko’s International Exploration Department and Manager of the gas storage, transport, and regulatory affairs team. Prior to Anadarko, Robert was a consultant for Lukens Energy Group in Houston where he consulted in the exploration and production, power, and natural gas utility sectors. Before Lukens, he worked for Unocal, leading gas-fired power and gas pipeline project development in Southeast Asia, China, and AES Corporation. He negotiated supply contracts and directed projects and acquisitions for their international power segment. He began his career with ExxonMobil including time at the Baytown, Texas, refinery where he was a process engineer for light ends fractionation, alkylation, and other operating units.
Robert is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Gulf Coast Section and a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators.
In 2019, Robert achieved a Level 7 Certificate (Regulated Qualifications Framework, RQF, accredited at master's level qualification) for Legal Experience Training Advanced Professional Award in Expert Witness Evidence (LETAPAEWE).
