Aaron Imrie has over 20 years of experience working in and consulting for the petroleum refining, gas processing, fertilizers, chemicals, alternative fuels, and engineering and construction. Aaron has worked in process engineering design, research and development, field services, and project management. He has experience in a broad range of refinery and petrochemical process operations, with extensive engineering and operations involvement with fluid catalytic cracking. Aaron’s experience in research and development includes the development of a xylene isomerization catalyst, which was later commercialized. While working for a major process technology licensor, he was responsible for commissioning several new and revamped process units throughout the world. While serving as a Project Manager, Aaron successfully executed a demonstration plant project for a new biomass-to-liquid fuel process. Aaron’s management experience also includes that of Field Services Manager supporting modular, on-site hydrogen generation systems. Immediately prior to joining Baker & O’Brien, Aaron was a Commercial Manager with a renewable fuels company.
In 2019, Aaron achieved a Level 7 Certificate (Regulated Qualifications Framework, RQF, accredited at master's level qualification) for Legal Experience Training Advanced Professional Award in Expert Witness Evidence (LETAPAEWE).
