Christine Basson Joins Baker & O'Brien

Baker & O’Brien is pleased to announce that Christine Basson has joined Baker & O’Brien as a Senior Consultant in our Houston office. Christine holds a B. Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North West (South Africa), a B. Eng. in Technology Management from the University of Pretoria (South Africa), and an MSc in Construction Law and International Dispute Resolution from King’s College in London. She offers more than 20 years of experience in project management and construction management for projects involving refineries, chemical plants, long-haul pipelines, and FIFA World Cup stadiums. Christine comes to us from INEOS, where she was Project Director for the Galaxy Project at INEOS Oxides’ Chocolate Bayou complex. Previously, Christine served in project and construction management roles for Honeywell UOP, Flint Hills Resources, Sasol, Grinaker-LTA, Fluor, and a joint venture between ARUP and WorleyParsons. Christine began her career as an engineer with Sasol, where she worked as a project engineer for a refinery expansion project, a project to convert Sasol’s chemical works from coal to natural gas, and a refinery clean fuels project.
