John O'Brien, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman Announces Retirement
January 1, 2016
Mr. John B. O’Brien, one of the original co-founders of Baker & O’Brien, Inc., and Executive Chairman of the Company, announced his retirement from full-time employment on December 31, 2015. While much less involved in day-to-day operations, Mr. O’Brien will continue to provide consulting services to some of the Company’s clients on an independent contractor basis. He will also serve as Chairman of the Board for 2016. With his partner, Kenneth Baker, Mr. O’Brien established Baker & O’Brien in 1993, and together they built it into the highly respected international energy consultancy firm that it is today.
Mr. Rob Donnell, Chief Executive Officer of Baker & O’Brien, said, “We all wish the very best for John and his wife, Gail, in a well-deserved retirement. Although we will miss John’s 50 years of experience working in—or consulting for—the energy industry in all parts of the world, we are pleased that he has agreed to continue to work with us on client assignments, develop new business, and provide guidance to management in achieving the Company’s overall strategic objectives.”
