Summary of Experience

Mr. Devenish has 25 years of experience working in petroleum refining. Gary has worked in process engineering design, research and development, field services, technical service, operations management, and planning and economics. His engineering and operations experience covers various refinery and petrochemical processing operations and he has been involved in commissioning and starting up several new and revamped process units worldwide.

Gary has held hands-on operations and planning and economics management roles for the two largest U.S. refiners. His economics and planning experience includes running LP simulations, including AspenTech's PIMS model. Immediately before joining Baker and O'Brien, Gary was Operations Manager for an operations complex including hydrotreating, hydrocracking, and SMR units.

Gary's assignments at Baker & O'Brien have included local and regional market analyses, strategic planning, technology due diligence, and serving as a lender's engineer. His expert witness support assignments have included refinery operations and lost-opportunity assessments, power-plant damages, equipment performance, and various EPC-related matters. Gary has testified as an expert witness in depositions and international arbitrations.
