Carl has over 30 years of experience in the upstream and midstream oil and gas sectors, encompassing onshore and offshore oil and gas developments. He has held assignments in central engineering, operations support, and major projects.
Carl was most recently with Denbury Resources where he was a Project Specialist in the Projects and Facilities Group. Previously, he had a 23-year career at ConocoPhillips where he supported worldwide projects/operations, including: Project Engineer for production facilities in the Permian Basin; Development Engineer and Project Management roles in Vietnam, including Topsides Engineering Manager for a major new-build FPSO; Development Engineer supporting Middle East Business Development activities; Process and Facilities Engineer supporting operations offshore Dubai; and Process Engineer for an onshore arctic oil development designed to produce high-paraffin crude in Russia. Carl began his career with ARCO Oil and Gas Company where he was a Gas Engineer in a major West Texas gas plant and a Materials Engineer supporting operations. Carl also has experience in the design and fabrication of steam generators and flue gas scrubbers used in heavy oil recovery.
Carl, who has served as an expert witness on a commercial dispute matter related to an offshore drilling rig, is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas, Oklahoma, and Alaska; Certified Project Management Professional; and a Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
