Curtis J. Ruder Joins Baker & O'Brien

Mr. Ruder holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Kansas State University and offers experience in petroleum refining, including operations support, process engineering, economics, and planning. Curtis was most recently with Flint Hills Resources, where he served as a Planner in Refinery Economics and Planning at the Corpus Christi refinery. Prior to Flint Hills Resources, Curtis began his career at NCRA’s MacPherson, Kansas, refinery as a Process Engineer. Curtis has provided technical support for saturated gas plants, FCC, fixed bed cumene alkylation, and crude distillation units. His experience includes process unit support, safety relief system analysis, refinery-wide turnaround support, and unit process modeling. In addition, Curtis has gained experience in LP model calibration for all conversion units and hydrotreaters, blending optimization efforts, metrics development and implementation, component supply and distribution optimization, and automation of the dynamic component balance models using VBA coding.
